| The Maine Association of REALTORS® Launches "You Tube" Contest for
Maine Residents |
| |
On April 10, 2008 The Maine Association of REALTORS® announced the
launch of the "Your
Piece of Maine" YouTube contest that encourages people in Maine to show
why they love - or
why they want - their piece of Maine. Beginning April 15, any Maine
resident can make a
YouTube video up to three minutes in length, and submit it to the
contest by visiting
www.yourpieceofmaine.com.
The contest ends on June 2. Winners will be announced before June 30.
A grand prize of $20,000 will be awarded along with one $5,000 prize and
eight $1,000 prizes. |

THE SWAN AGENCY SOTHEBY'S INTERNATIONAL REALTY AND CYGNET GALLERY HOST LINC ART
SHOW
The Swan Agency Sotheby’s International Realty and Cygnet Gallery proudly hosted the LINC art show on April 13th, 2008 in at our Blue Hill location on Main Street.
LINC (Learning in Community) is an arts mentorship program for high-school students who are highly talented in any of the arts and is part of the Maine Alliance for Arts Education. www.maineartseducation.org Students are matched with community artists who act as mentors to help develop skills and share ideas for opportunities after high school.
The event was standing-room only and for the first time, the students were able to see their work in a gallery setting. The show will remain in the gallery at 9 Main Street, Blue Hill until April 27th and is open to the public Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm.

Art Deco theater's facade and fund-raising.
The Criterion Theatre, which has served as Bar Harbor's a movie palace since it first opened its doors in 1932, changed hands this year.

Carroll Fernald Named 2007 Realtor® of the Year
Carroll Fernald, broker with The Swan Agency Sotheby's International Realty, was awarded The Acadia Council of REALTORS® 2007 REALTOR® of the Year. Each Council chooses one person who has made a difference in the local REALTOR® organization during the past year. This is a very prestigious award, not a popularity contest. Carroll will represent The Acadia Council at the Maine Association Convention in September, has been active in the activities of the Mid Coast Board and has a reputation for honesty and integrity. The first annual global networking event of Sotheby's International
Realty Affiliates LLC. was held at the Waldorf Astoria hotel in New York City
