Carroll Fernald Named 2007 Realtor® of the Year
Carroll Fernald, broker with The Swan Agency Sotheby's International Realty, was awarded The Acadia Council of REALTORS® 2007 REALTOR® of the Year. Each Council chooses one person who has made a difference in the local REALTOR® organization during the past year. This is a very prestigious award, not a popularity contest. Carroll will represent The Acadia Council at the Maine Association Convention in September, has been active in the activities of the Mid Coast Board and has a reputation for honesty and integrity. Service to the Maine Association of REALTORS®, attendance at National Association meetings, and service to the community were also considered, but local board activity was the most important factor in choosing this year’s REALTOR® of the Year. |

Gail Caruso named CRS of the Year
Gail Caruso, broker with The Swan Agency Sotheby's International Realty, was awarded the 2006 Maine CRS of the Year from the State Chapter of the Council of Residential Specialists.
CRS is the symbol of excellence in residential real estate. To earn the distinguished Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) Designation, every REALTOR® must have significant experience and demonstrate volume of real estate transactions or gross sales, as well as complete rigorous educational requirements. Less than 4 percent of all licensed REALTORS® are Certified Residential Specialists.
Council of Residential Specialist (CRS) members “have proven they have the experience, training and commitment to be among the best in their profession.” Each year the Maine Chapter of CRS identifies one member who embodies that commitment to education, excellence and contributions by awarding “Maine CRS of the Year”.
Other Swan Agency Sotheby’s International Realty brokers with this prestigous designation are: Kimberly Swan, Betty Bryer and Janet Moore.
