Omair Bashir, owner of Breaktime Corner Market LLC, bought 3 Breakneck Road in Bar Harbor from Ventury Enterprises for $1,398,700.
Terri Needham of Swan Agency Real Estate brokered the transaction.
The property includes the year-round Hulls Cove General Store, a U.S. Postal Service rental location and a full-service gas station, on just over an acre. The store dates back to the 1960s. The sellers had owned it since December 2017.
Hulls Cove is a village of Bar Harbor, just north of the popular tourist town.
The listing was marketed as “an investor's dream. Hulls Cove is the happening place on Mount Desert Island this year with lots of exciting new businesses enjoying the village vibe and gorgeous views.”
The store’s offerings include sandwiches, baked goods, pizza and a delicatessen.
The property was on the market for 120 days and saw interest from four or five potential buyers, said Needham.
Breaktime Corner Market, established in 2004, owns over 200 stores across the U.S., said Mindy Cole, the company’s local district manager."
